Our current projects shine a light on the forgotten blues singer, Chicago’s West Side blues legend Mary Lane. Her new album, "Travelin’ Woman" on our new label Woman of the Blues Records, OWL’s record company, released in March, 2019. The album remained in the top #20 Living Blues Radio Charts for 3 months peaking at #5. Mary is a featured artist in the August 2019 issue of Living Blues Magazine and the cover story in the August/September 2019 issue of Big City Rhythm & Blues Magazine. Mary was a double nominee for the 2019 Blues Blast Music Awards: Best Female Blues Artist and Best Traditional Blues Album, “Travelin’ Woman”. The Chicago Blues Hall of Fame also inducted Mary as a Legendary Artist on September 15, 2019 and in 2017 she was inducted as Master Artist. Mary Lane’s documentary, “I Can Only Be Mary Lane” premiered in London and Chicago debut showings and is available for educational and festival premieres, often with Mary Lane in attendance. .
